Horrible product and worse customer service
Hello, It has not been resolved. They just avoid the issue.
Want me to sand off the finish for which I paid extra, but the thing won't even move to do anything.
They refuse, absolutely refuse, to do a thing about it. I've filed a BBB complaint and am getting nowhere...
In just a few months the center fold-down tray has become stuck and cannot fold nor be placed upright. The bench wood is cracking at the screws. The company does nothing except tell me it has swollen because it's outside. Of course it is outside - it is made to be outside.
They said to sand it, but that would will ruin the finish for which I paid extra. Besides, I cannot even sand it when it will absolutely not move nor should I even have to do anything. It should be made properly and made to be outdoors when that is its only use. It is stuck in a semi-open position.
I have contacted them multiple times. They do not respond to my emails at all. When I contact them via their online form, I get the identical response stating the issue is from it being outside and my having to sand it each time, as if it's automated.
Very poor quality and customer service for almost $600.00 and a wait of weeks to receive it. This bench was expected to last for years and years and it has not even been a half of one year.
- Swing for a month until it started to crack
- That the swing did not last & their horrible customer service

Not happy
Ordered on sale, product delivered with countless calls on progress and how its being shipped because i guess their internet email is broken and only works if money is attached to an order incoming. Horrible customer service.
Product packaging is awful and parts got chipped during delivery. FedEX always breaks things, regardless of "fragile" printed on the box. Assembly required!!! and product is only okay in quality and construction.
Seemed the picture had thicker wood on it than what got delivered and its not as heavy duty as one would expect for a $400+ swing... If i paid full price for this I would have been really pissed off. As is was I think it was at least 100 over what it should have cost. sloppy workmanship, incomplete staining, no varnish, included screws for the cup holder with a SQUARE driver head on them....
Who has that driver just laying around?
I suppose if I hung drywall for a living I would but not as a general homeowner or even a guy with lots of tools for most every house job...... would not buy from them again and if you do I hope its when the product is on sale and you don't feel cheated.
Warped Swing

Happy Customer
Awful Company
Website is misleading with dimensions. Return policy is bad!
After ordering a 4' swing and speaking with customer service, the swing arrived and was almost 5"inches smaller than plainly advertised! This is the advertising for the product: Porchgate Amish Made Mission Red Cedar Porch Swing, Select Length 4 Foot.
The product is available through Amazon and is not exclusive to the website owned by westchaseshops.com. After I emailed my concerns, they replied with a specs sheet that clearly states the dimensions of the swing. However, the fits page adverting is clearly misleading, as it states: (4 Foot Porch Swings Two person or 4 foot swings are just the perfect size for any porch and the most popular swing size available. - Product Lengths Please note all products are categorized on our website for easy browsing and searching.
This includes product lengths as we group products to their nearest foot (3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 foot). )
Also, they claim that all their swings are made exclusively for them which is not true and is made by Amish which is also not true. You can find all these swings online and on Amazon with a better return policy!
I would advise that you avoid all products from: westchaseshops.com and www.theporchswingcompany.com. Very bad customer service and misleading website.

The Porch Swing Company Swing Review
They stuck me with useless merchandise
Ordered a toddler swing (BSP-015) for grandson's 1st birthday. There were no product specs on the website, but the ropes were described as "tree length" so that sounded pretty good. We added the $35 "corresponding product" mounting brackets (LIG-002) to the order on the seller's recommendation. Stated price included "free shipping".
On arrival, I immediately noted that the swing's ropes were too short, not what I'd have expected from a description of "tree length". They extend less then 36" over the top of the seat, maybe 18" over the head of a seated child. I cannot imagine anything low enough to which I could mount this thing, certainly not a tree. There is not enough length for much of a swing arc and I suspect that the clearance would be potentially unsafe in some cases.
As for the add on items ... the brackets are NOT compatible with the swing for which they were recommended. Both the brackets and the ends of the swing ropes are closed metal rings. You cannot attach the ropes to the brackets that they suggested as "corresponding product".
We tried to contact the company to arrange for return and refund. Not just because the items were unsuitable for us, but because we felt they were not as described. While their website touts their customer service and provides an 800 service number, one cannot speak to a person when calling. All callers are directed to the website. After a week of emails, they agreed to allow me to return the product ... but I must pay the return shipping. AND ... they will charge me a 20% restocking fee. AND ... they will deduct from any refund whatever they say their shipping cost was, because shipping was included in the purchase price.
Needless to say, I am disappointed in this company and likely stuck with these items. I would suggest avoiding The Porch Swing Company and it's affiliate WestChase Shops Inc. Evidently, there are plenty of dissatisfied customers who would agree.
